Seshadri Ramkumar of Texas Tech University was recently honored with the “Top Twenty Under 40 Award.” Dr. Ramkumar, who serves as the co-chairman of the India committee for INDA (Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry), has been recognized by Lubbock-TX based Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock as one of the “Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals.” He was recognized in Lubbock last month. Dr. Ramkumar’s achievements in inventing a new nonwoven military wipe and organizing Indo-U.S. collaborative conferences were duly recognized with this award.
 
Since 2004, Dr. Ramkumar has been making efforts to bridge India and the U.S. to grow the nonwovens and technical textiles industry base in India. He annually conducts international conferences in India to enhance the profile of India in the technical textiles field.
